Essen/Berlin. Der Essener CDU-Bundestagsabgeordnete Matthias Hauer hat die politische Patenschaft für Vahid Aron übernommen, der von Regimekräften in Bandar Abbas (Iran) festgenommen und an einen unbekannten Ort gebracht wurde.
Dazu erklärt Matthias Hauer MdB: „Es ist dringend erforderlich, auf die Situation der tausenden politischen Gefangenen im Iran aufmerksam zu machen – einer von ihnen ist Vahid Aron. Deswegen habe ich die politische Patenschaft für Vahid Aron übernommen und setze mich für die Freilassung von Vahid Aron ein!“
Vahid Aron kommt aus Beyram in Lorestan (Provinz Fars) und wurde Mitte Oktober 2022 von Regimekräften in Bandar Abbas festgenommen und an einen unbekannten Ort gebracht. Seitdem gibt es keine Informationen über ihn. Vahid Aron wird weder der Kontakt zu seiner Familie noch zu einem Anwalt seiner Wahl ermöglicht.
„Gegen dieses Verfahren protestiere ich in aller Deutlichkeit, weil damit offensichtlich gegen internationales Recht verstoßen wird. Ich fordere zudem Transparenz: Aufgrund welcher Anklagepunkte wurde Vahid Aron festgenommen? Wo befindet sich Vahid Aron? Wie ist sein Gesundheitszustand?“ betont Matthias Hauer MdB.
Matthias Hauer MdB hat sich unter anderem an den Botschafter der Islamischen Republik Iran in Deutschland sowie an die iranische Regierung gewandt und appelliert, sich für das Leben von Vahid Aron einzusetzen, ihm den Zugang zu einem Verteidiger sowie den Kontakt zu seiner Familie zu ermöglichen. „Ich habe dem Botschafter und der iranischen Regierung meine Besorgnis und die Dringlichkeit der Angelegenheit mitgeteilt. Sollte sich die Angelegenheit nicht klären, werde ich dies regelmäßig auch weiterhin öffentlich thematisieren“, so Matthias Hauer.

Matthias Hauer, member of the Bundestag from Essen, Germany, takes over the political sponsorship for Vahid Aron, who has been arrested in Bandar Abbas (Iran) by regime forces and brought to an unknown location.
Matthias Hauer MdB makes clear: “There is an urgent need to draw attention to the situation that political prisoners are facing in Iran – one of them is Vahid Aron. Therefore, I have taken over the political sponsorship of Vahid Aron and I stand up for the release of Vahid Aron!“.
Vahid Aron is from Beyram in Lorestan (Fars Province) and was arrested by regime forces in Bandar Abbas in mid-October 2022 and taken to an unknown location. Since then, there has been no information about him. He is not allowed to have contact with his family or with a lawyer of his choice.
„I protest this procedure in the strongest terms, it obviously violates international law. I also call for transparency: what indictment has Vahid Aron been arrested? Where is Vahid Aron? What is his state of health?“ emphasizes Matthias Hauer MdB.
Matthias Hauer MdB asked the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Germany and the Iranian government to intercede for the life of Vahid Aron and to allow him access to a defense attorney and contact with his family. “I expressed my concern and the urgency of the matter to the Ambassador and to the Iranian government. Should the matter not be resolved, I will regularly raise this issue publicly as well“, said Matthias Hauer.
