Papenburg. Nach derzeitiger Planung wird die Carnival Jubilee, der jüngste Neubau der MEYER WERFT, am kommenden Samstag, den 22. Juli das überdachte Baudock II (Halle 6) verlassen. Das Manöver beginnt voraussichtlich gegen 9 Uhr. Anschließend macht das neue Kreuzfahrtschiff an der Ausrüstungspier im Werfthafen fest.
Am Sonntagvormittag, den 23. Juli, wird die Carnival Jubilee kurzzeitig von der Pier ablegen, um verschiedene Tests an den Bugstrahlern und Stabilisatoren durchzuführen.
Änderungen des Ausdockzeitplans und weitere Manöver sind aufgrund von Wetterbedingungen oder Produktionseinschränkungen jederzeit möglich.
Die Carnival Jubilee ist das erste in Deutschland gebaute Kreuzfahrtschiff der amerikanischen Reederei Carnival Cruise Line. Innerhalb der MEYER Gruppe handelt es sich zugleich um das dritte Schiff der Excel-Klasse: Bereits 2020 hat die finnische Werft MEYER TURKU die Mardi Gras abgeliefert, 2022 folgte die Carnival Celebration. Alle drei Schiffe sind mit emissionsarmen LNG ausgestattet. Highlight für Passagiere ist erstmals eine Achterbahn an Bord.
Voraussichtlich Ende des Jahres wird die Carnival Jubilee abgeliefert. Carnival Cruise Line wird das Schiff anschließend für Kreuzfahrten in der Karibik ab dem texanischen Hafen Galveston einsetzen.
Manoeuvre expected to start Saturday around 9 a.m.
Papenburg. According to current planning, Carnival Jubilee, MEYER WERFT’s latest newbuilding, will leave the covered building dock II (Hall 6) next Saturday, 22nd July. The manoeuvre is expected to start around 9 am. Afterwards, the new cruise ship will moor at the fitting-out pier in the shipyard harbour.
On Sunday morning, 23 July, Carnival Jubilee will briefly cast off from the pier to conduct various tests on the bow thrusters and stabilisers.
Changes to the float out schedule and further manoeuvres are possible at any time due to weather conditions or production restrictions.
Carnival Jubilee is the first cruise ship built in Germany for Carnival Cruise Line. Within the MEYER Group, it is also the third ship in a series: the Finnish shipyard MEYER TURKU already delivered Excel-class Mardi Gras in 2020, followed by Carnival Celebration in 2022. All three ships are equipped with low-emission LNG propulsion. The highlight for guests on these ships is a roller coaster on board for the first time.
Carnival Jubilee is expected to be delivered at the end of the year. Carnival Cruise Line will then deploy the ship for Caribbean cruises departing from the Texas port of Galveston.
